I’ve been on ‘holiday’ this week. And it’s been glorious.

I’ve planted things in my garden, watched the MASSIVE bees lumbering about, read a ton of books, eaten delish home-cooked food (and a birthday portion of fried chicken) and generally switched right off.

And I’ve been a bit nervous about switching back on!
I’m opening bookings for my group mentoring programme - Eight Weeks of Space - next week and I’m feeling the anticipation of that.

But before any of that, catch me up!

Everyone I've chatted to this week has said they're shattered.

We can't concentrate, we're not getting 'enough' (ick) done, we're scrolling,
I wanted to remind you that you are NOT being lazy. You are NOT being unproductive. You are NOT wasting time.

Your body is flooded with cortisol. Your system is stressed.

That is making you tired, your concentration is shot.
This is a totally natural physiological reaction to the world around us right now.

And it is not your fault.

So pals, this weekend, be kind to yourselves. Give yourself time, kindness and understanding.

Burnout. Teetering on the brink. Falling over the

Burnout. Teetering on the brink. Falling over the edge into the abyss.

I've experienced all of those feelings - a lot.
And I never fail to miss the warning signs. That feeling that you're staggering, limping forwards, towards the cliff edge.

Normally it's when I'm in free fall that I realise something is off.

The last two weeks have been busy, full. More full than I would like.

And at the end of last week I recognised that limping feeling. I had a sty, a mouth ulcer and was bone weary.

So I've moved some things around (I'm going to launch Four Weeks of Space for a new group of pals in June, rather than this month) and I've decided to take two weeks to REALLY slow down.

And I'm proud of myself.
Proud that I recognised the limping, before the fall. I avoided the sharp descent.

Proud that I'm practicing what I preach. Proud that I've built a business that allows me to do that.

Proud of my to be read pile that I'm gonna plough through in the next few weeks!

What are you proud of yourself for today pal?
It's an emotion that I very rarely let myself feel, so take this as your little nudge to let that feeling trickle in today.
